Cost-Per-Wear is the price of the item divided by the number of times it was worn. Items with a low cost-per-wear are a better value. Stylebook uses your item’s price information and how many times it has appeared on the calendar to automatically calculate this CPW value.
This information is then used in Style Stats. The “Worst Value” items have the highest price per wear in your closet. For example, if you bought a cocktail dress for $90 and only wore it once, its CPW is $90. This is a bad value for your closet because it has gone virtually unused. On the other hand, if you bought a pair jeans for $200 and then wore them 30 days, their CPW is $6.66 – a much better value. This information can help you the next time you go shopping.
The next time you’re tempted with a gorgeous party dress – leave it on the rack! Use Rent The Runway instead!
To check the cost-per-wear value of a specific item in your closet, follow these steps.
1. In the closet feature, open the entry for the clothing item you’re interested in.
2. Tap the the notes icon on the lower left.
3. Scroll down on the notes screen until you get to the “$/wear” value

Stylebook uses the currency and shopping settings for the country you have configured in your phone’s Settings. To change your country settings, you can open the International section of the Settings app and tap Region Format, then select a country. Note that this change will apply to all apps on your phone.

Is there a way to record item weights? That’s more important to me because I travel a lot and it’s nice to know in advance how much you can put in your suitcase 😉

You could use the notes and keywords box at the top of the notes screen to enter the item weight. Anything entered in that box is searchable so you would be able to easily find any items that have a weight entered.

Is there a way to set an estimate of the initial number of wears to get the cost-per-wear right. I have a pair of jeans that I have been using around 150 times and plan to use few more months, the cost per wear would be more realistic if I could give an initial value. This would be an important feature for those who follow the costs of clothing.

I usually leave it blank if I can’t remember, otherwise you can take your best guess. Sometimes you can find receipts in your email if you ordered it online or you can look at the price of similar items.
